Frequently Asked Questions

Title

What smartphone devices does the Nice G.O. app support?

iOS Version: 17, 16 or 15 (On the device under Settings-> General -> About -> iOS Version)
Android Version: 14, 13, 12 or 11 (On the device under Settings -> About Phone -> Software information)

Once I (account owner) migrate, will I be able to use both apps? What about other users and guests?

No, once the owner migrates, they will have to use the Nice G.O. app and will no longer be able to see the status, receive notifications or operate devices that were previously on the Mighty Mule app. Invited administrators and general users will also lose access to the door or gate until you invite them as users on the Nice G.O. app. To ensure optimal app performance, all users and guests MUST log out of the Mighty Mule app, accept the owner invitation to the Nice G.O app and log into the Nice G.O. app using their credentials.

What features are not supported in the new app?

Features that are not supported in the new Nice G.O. app are Geofencing, Amazon Alexa (coming soon), and places. The new app also has different user roles (co-owner & guest).

What access permissions do co-owners have?

All the same as the owner except, they can't delete the owner. invite owners/guests, delete the device, or change the device's Wi-Fi network.

What access permissions do guests have?

Guest access to operate devices are managed by the owner. Guests have the same access as co-owners EXCEPT they are not able to see guest device's history, modify settings, remove owners, invite guests, and receive push notifications.

I'm trying to migrate my account to the new Nice G.O app but I forgot my password.

Create a new Nice G.O. account and add your device(s), using the steps found here.

I created an account in the Nice G.O. app with the same username as my Mighty Mule App, what should I do?

To migrate devices from the Mighty Mule app to the Nice G.O. app, you must log in with the username & password from your Mighty Mule app. If you would like to migrate your Mighty Mule account and accidentally created a new account with the same username, you will need to add your devices following the steps here.

I am a guest on an account and don't see any device activity or receive push notifications.

Guests will not be able to see activity of devices they are guests of or receive push notifications for non-owned devices. If a user needs to view all activity, they should request to be invited as an co-owner.

If I don't want to migrate from the old app to the new can I just pair with Nice G.O. directly?

Yes, you can set up a new device in the Nice G.O. app by selecting the device that you are using. Please follow the steps in "Adding a New Device or If You Cannot Login to the Nice G.O. App" above.

What is the WiFi frequency required for Mighty Mule MMS100?

MMS100 requires a 2.4 GHz WiFi frequency. Most routers support this feature. Please consult your router's manufacturer or manual for confirmation.

I am unable to change my Wi-Fi network (I get an error when trying to locate other networks)

Auto-reconnect (Android) or Auto-Join (iPhone) must be disabled to avoid this error. To disable auto-reconnect (Android) or Auto-Join (iPhone) navigate to the Wi-Fi network setting for the Wi-Fi network the device is connected to, and attempt to change the Wi-Fi network again.

Where are push notification settings in the app?

App Push notifications are available under user profile.

What devices is the Nice G.O. app compatible with?

Nice Brand Garage Door Openers: Linear661
Linear Brand Garage Door Openers: LDCO841, LDCO850, LDCO852, & LDCO863b

Is a Wi-Fi extender recommended?

A Wi-Fi extender is not recommended as signal quality for extenders frequently are intermittent and have challenges reconnecting. Using Wi-Fi extenders are not preferred as they might affect the reliability of the Wi-Fi connection and we have limited ability to troubleshoot issues with 3rd party Wi-Fi extenders. If a Wi-Fi extender is unable to connect, the extender can be power cycled to attempt to re-establish the network.

What is the minimum supported Wi-Fi Protected Access level required?

Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) 2 is the minimum-security standard supported to ensure the network being used is secure. If you are using a router with WPA 1, we recommend upgrading to a router that supports at a minimum WPA2.

I'm confused about the battery indicator in the device screen. What are the valid battery status'?

Not Connected to AC (Solar installations will see this icon)

I am unable to close the gate with the app and it is displaying a safety beam blocked error but the beams are not blocked, what should I do?

Clear the obstruction between the safety beams to close the gate, if there is no obstruction, ensure the beams are aligned and functioning correctly by ensuring red and green LEDs on the safety beams are solid. If the LEDs are lit correctly, block and unblock the beams for (5+s) with the gate in the open position and then attempt to close the gate.

How do I perform a factory reset on the MMS100?

(IMPORTANT: This action will clear ALL previous pairings and will remove all ties to existing accounts. This action is not reversible and you will have to set up the device as new.)

What do I do if my gate status is unknown? What do I di if the LED on the bridge module is flashing blue for more than 5 minutes?

In both of these cases, you may need to adjust the Power Level Settings on the control board. Follow the steps below:
