Shop Pay gives customers the option to pay in full at checkout, or choose installment payments on eligible orders. Shop Pay Installments is powered by Affirm and presented through Shopify checkout.
How does it work?
Customers add an item to cart, proceed to checkout with Shop Pay, and—if eligible—can select an installment option instead of paying the full amount upfront.
Can I still pay in full?
Yes. Shop Pay can let eligible customers either pay the full amount at checkout or choose installments, depending on what is available for the order.
Who manages the installment payments?
Shop Pay Installments is powered by Affirm. Payment schedules, approvals, and account-related questions are generally handled through the Shop Pay / Affirm experience tied to the customer’s purchase.
Is every order eligible?
No. Availability depends on order eligibility, purchase amount, and other checkout factors. Customers will see whether Shop Pay Installments is available during checkout.
Where can customers get help after purchase?
Customers can use the Shop Pay / Affirm help resources for installment-related questions, and Mighty Mule can continue to support product, shipping, and order experience questions through its own support channels.
